10th Annual General Meeting - 25 August 2010
The 10th Annual General Meeting was held in Gifu, Japan on Wednesday August 25, 2010.

The following Council members were elected to the 10th APHN Council:
1. Dr Ghauri Aggarwal (Australia)
2. Mr Sunny Liu (Hong Kong)
3. Dr Ednin Hamzah (Malaysia)

A total of 51 organisational members from 9 sectors were represented at the meeting.
World Hospice and Palliative Care Day 2010

The World Hospice and Palliative Care Day is a unified day of action to celebrate and support hospice and palliative care around the world.  The theme for World Day 2010 is "Sharing the care".

This Day is for people to engage in events and activities to raise awareness and funds to support the development of hospice and palliative care.  Anybody can be involved in this Day to raise awareness and funds for their local hospice and palliative care service....

What is APHN?

The Asia Pacific Hospice Palliative Care Network (APHN)was established to empower and support individuals and organisations committed to alleviating suffering from life-threatening illness in the Asia-Pacific region. Established Programs are encouraged to assist less experienced and more isolated colleagues.

Since 2001 more than 1000 members from 29 countries have registered with the Asia Pacific Hospice Palliative Care Network.

The APHN Diploma/Graduate Certificate in Health (Palliative Care) is a specially designed course run by the Department of Palliative Medicine, National Cancer Centre Singapore (NCCS) and the Department of Palliative and Supportive Services, Flinders University, Adelaide, Australia, in association with the Lien Centre for Palliative Care. The 5th Intake's 2nd Intensives will take place from 1st to 12th October 2010.
